Wonder Child Greta Wood’s 16th birthday has finally arrived. She is reported to be a bit of a loner but she told me that she finds this beneficial to a life dedicated to learning.

She has adopted a non-traditional hair color rather than her natural black. She feels that it allows her to express herself in a creative way. She also has an additional good luck charm given to her by her mother: a pearl necklace. Her childhood necklace has broken and she keeps it safe inside a jewelry box (however, she says she admires it often).
As she is now old enough to respond on her own, what follows will be her account of her progress.
My name is Greta Wood and it’s weird to write this. You already know who I am. You’ve known about me since the day I was born (conceived even). I find it strange. Admittedly, there are strange things about me, too. Since turning seven I’ve slept in a bed twice in my life for ten minutes total. All food tastes spicy to me. It’s weird. I know this cake is sweet but I can’t help it. They say it’s a side effect of the Z Juice.

I’m a pretty normal teenager. I have friends. This guy is sort of a friend. He’s also sort of weird. He’s one of the Munch kids.

I know lots of people of all ages. I would consider Kira one of my close friends even though she’s my parents age (or younger, I can’t tell). I befriended this colorfully dressed woman when I was a kid. It was a requirement for my social skills badge. She still pops on over and tells me ridiculous things to try and shock me. She usually gets her wish.

My uniform has changed a bit since I was a little girl. Now it’s blue rather than green. I miss the green uniform but I shouldn’t complain. It’s probably good that my uniform is blue anyway since my hair is purple-red. It might clash more than it does now.

Sometimes after school I feel exhausted.

I usually drink Z Juice as soon as I start to get fatigued. It solves almost all of my problems.

Once I’m refreshed and in my comfy clothes I can start on my afternoon skilling.

Dad loves to listen to me play. I think that of all things I am best at piano. He is so proud of that fact. He told me that he used to play as a child and it was his wish that I become accomplished on piano as well.

Another thing I find enjoyable is painting. I couldn’t really get it it as a child but now that I’m old enough I feel as if another world has been opened to me.

I may not be great yet but I find it relaxing.

PLUS it brings in a bit of money when I decide to sell. We have a ton of paintings displayed in the kitchen. Mom is really proud of them.

One thing that hasn’t come easily to me is cooking and baking.

Not gonna lie, it’s rough.

I struggle with the most basic of tasks…

Making a mess can be fun, though.

I have to admit that I do get easily distracted. Maybe that’s part of my problem.

Who can resist a cute face like this?

I’ll tell you who I wish would wouldn’t resist… Alex Goth.

He and I are great friends.

He comes over all the time and we watch different movies.

We definitely do not have the same taste in movies. He prefers action while I prefer comedies. Neither of us like sappy ones. (I always cry!)

He’s pretty goofy looking but… I still have a crush on him…

We even go to the gym together to train.

Off topic, I am super lucky because when I hit puberty my figure just started changing naturally. Mom told me she was jealous because I had such a high metabolism. Still, I need to work out to gain as much knowledge of fitness as possible and stay in tip top physical shape. That’s my task.

I’ve gotten much better with my painting. The history books say that back in ancient times people used to report seeing a creature called the Social Bunny when they were at low points in their lives. They believed in things called “aspiration bars” and had different ways of describing their feelings. One that was considered platinum was the best you could be.

I think my dad here would be considered platinum. He would even have been granted the gift of permanent platinum status by now based on his success in life.

It was a strange belief system. The woman in this second photo could be considered the lowest of the low and possibly have a red aspiration status… (Poor her!)
(Also, these are just pictures of dad dancing. He was so proud that he actually learned some amusing skills)

Ancient beliefs were strange, huh? I’m glad we’ve moved on from those crazy times.

As you can see, I’m still learning and taking in knowledge. Now that I’m older it takes a little longer for things to sink in. I’m also beginning to tire of the constant learning…

Having Alex around really helps me. When my dad is busy I like to have a friend to play chess against (and talk to…)

Oh, another skill I’ve added to my list is gardening. I decided it was better to learn a bunch of skills instead of just one really well. I could be a Jill of all trades and know a little about a lot.

Besides taking up gardening, I’ve been shirking my studies a bit lately…

While my parents hang out at home…

…Alex and I have been going out.

It’s so refreshing to get out of the house and just hang out with someone I’m not related to…

…and why shouldn’t I mix learning with pleasure?

We can practice my fishing skill, too!

…and “photography”…

Truth is that I’m happy when I’m with him.

I know my mom and Kira are worried about me. They’re concerned that I’m not going to finish with a high enough score when they tally up all my points. I think they should have more faith in me.

Slash, what’s the point? Was I born just so I could gain points for some project? Am I not also a person? Their DAUGHTER?!

They wouldn’t be together if not to create me…

So… yeah, I can be silly, but what teenager isn’t?!

I learned to be silly from the very best. And dad’s a goofball, you know!

I love my mom…

…but I’m definitely a daddy’s girl.

Alex’s sister, Cassandra, is a pretty successful photographer who has a studio in Magnolia Promenade. We went to her because Kira wanted to have photos done for her report. (On my birthday, of all days. Kira wastes no time!)

We turned out taking some pretty cute ones.

Those plus the ones I took outside our house should be perfect!

I hope Kira has good luck with her report…
Loving her bright hair! And I like how you wrote her voice – she sounds like such an intelligent young woman. I’m glad Alex is there for her to take the edge off her having to skill so much all the time. 🙂 They look sweet together.
Also, how cool does Cassandra Goth look! 😀

I love her hair and style! Huge difference from her teenage years. Did she age up like that purely due to game mechanics? 🙂

No I gave her a makeover, hehe. I’ve just always wanted to use those leggings

I love the way her parents look as they get older! It’s also very cool to see the kid drawings on the walls!
